heyImade Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 October 2026. Version 1.0.
These terms explain how heyImade works and what we expect from everyone who uses it. We tried to write them in plain language. If something is unclear, write to kontakt@heyimade.com.
1. Who runs heyImade
heyImade (heyimade.com, also heyimade.pl) is run by Łukasz Król, a sole trader in Poland (the "operator", "we"). Company details: https://kroltech.eu/kontakt/#dane-firmy. Contact: kontakt@heyimade.com.
These terms are also the rules of an electronic service ("regulamin") under the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means.
2. What heyImade is
heyImade is a free public ranking of things people made: apps, websites, games, plugins, tools. You can:
- browse projects, rankings, maker profiles and tools without an account;
- with an account: add your projects, verify that you own them, vote, comment, ask "How did you make it?", follow makers and projects, and use your maker dashboard and badges.
The basic service is free. If we ever add paid features, they will be described separately before you can buy them, and they will never change the ranking order (see section 9).
3. Accounts
- Minimum age: 16. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. The adults-only section requires 18 (section 11).
- You sign in with your Google account. We do not keep passwords.
- One person, one account. Accounts created to boost votes ("account farms") are not allowed.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at kontakt@heyimade.com if you think someone else uses it.
- Your profile is public. It shows your handle, name, avatar, country, bio and links, as much as you choose to fill in. Your email address is never shown publicly.
4. Technical requirements
You need an internet connection and a current web browser. Signing in needs a Google account and cookies enabled for heyimade.com (we only use cookies needed for the site to work, see the Cookie Policy). Pages work without JavaScript; some live features (for example the vote button state) need it.
5. Adding a project
- You may add a project only if you made it, own it, or are allowed by its owner to present it.
- The information must be true: name, description, "built with", screenshots, Build Receipt numbers.
- When you add a project you confirm that you have the rights to the text, logos and screenshots you upload, and that the project does not break the law or these terms.
- Automatic screenshot and description. When you submit a link, our system visits the public page, takes a screenshot and may suggest a short description. You can edit or remove the suggestion before publishing. You confirm that we may take and show screenshots of the address you submit.
- Verification. A project is verified when you prove you control it (a meta tag, a file on your domain, or a token in the description on a platform). We check again every 30 days. If the proof disappears, you get a notice and 14 days to fix it; after that the "Verified" status is removed. Only verified projects enter the rankings.
- Limits: 3 new projects per day per account, 5 screenshots per project. We may change limits to protect the service.
6. Your content and the licence you give us
Your content stays yours. To run heyImade we need your permission to use it. By publishing a project, screenshot, logo, description, comment, question or profile, you give the operator a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to store, copy, resize and convert (for example to WebP), display and make available your content on heyImade, in our badges, feeds, sitemaps and API, and to show short previews of it (title, tagline, one image, link) when we promote heyImade on our own social media and newsletters.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies may stay for a short time in caches and backups (see the Privacy Policy). Posts we already published on social media before the deletion may stay unless you ask us to remove them.
You are responsible for the content you publish. We do not check content before it appears, but we act on reports (section 10).
7. What is not allowed
You may not publish or link to:
- illegal content of any kind;
- content you do not have rights to (someone else's project, code, images, trademarks) without permission;
- malware, phishing, scams, tools for unauthorised access, fake download pages;
- any sexual content involving minors. We block it immediately and report it to the authorities (in Poland: Dyżurnet.pl and the police);
- pornography or sexually explicit content (also not in the adults-only section);
- hate speech, threats, harassment, doxxing (publishing someone's private data);
- spam, SEO spam, mass self-promotion in comments, misleading links;
- buying, selling or exchanging votes, account farms, bots, any other manipulation of votes, visitors or rankings;
- false information about yourself or a project, impersonating other people or brands.
8. Votes, ranking and public activity
- Only signed-in accounts can vote. The account must be at least 24 hours old. One account = one vote per project. You cannot vote for your own project.
- Votes are public. The project page shows who voted ("Voted by", with your handle). Comments and questions are also public. Do not vote or comment if you do not want this to be visible. You can remove your vote at any time.
- The ranking rules are public on the page "How the ranking works" (https://heyimade.com/how-ranking-works). They are part of these terms. In short: the order depends on valid votes in the chosen period; ties are broken by verified visitors and then by earlier verification.
- Suspicious votes may be held and checked by a person before they count. We may remove votes that break these rules.
9. Money: paid placements, ads, partner links
- Nobody can buy a place in the ranking. Paid placements (if they ever exist) will be marked "Promoted" and shown separately.
- Some links to tools are partner (affiliate) links. They are always marked. Details: Affiliate disclosure (https://heyimade.com/legal/affiliate).
- There are no ads on heyImade now. If we add them later, we will update the Cookie Policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
- If you, as a maker, are paid to present something or your project page is advertising, you must say so clearly in the description.
10. Reports and moderation
- Anyone can report content with the "Report" button or at https://heyimade.com/report, without an account.
- Moderation is done by a person (the operator). Automatic tools only limit spam (for example rate limits, holding suspicious votes, blocking links in comments from new accounts). A person always makes the final decision about removing content or blocking an account.
- If we act against your content or account, you get a statement of reasons: what we did, why, which rule of these terms or which law, whether automated tools were involved, and how to appeal.
- You can appeal within 6 months by writing to kontakt@heyimade.com.
- Possible actions: hiding or removing content, removing the "Verified" status or votes, removing a project from rankings, limiting an account (for example no voting or comments), suspending or closing an account. We choose an action proportionate to the problem. For serious cases (malware, phishing, content involving minors) we act immediately and without warning.
- Business users (makers who act as a business) get a statement of reasons before or at the time a restriction takes effect, and in the case of closing an account at least 30 days' notice, unless the content is illegal, the account repeatedly breaks these terms, or we must act immediately for safety reasons.
- Full process: Notice and action (DSA) page (https://heyimade.com/legal/dsa).
11. Adults-only section
- The section "Adult" lists projects for adults (for example party games, dating, 18+ chat apps). Pornography is not allowed there either.
- To enter you confirm that you are at least 18. We remember your answer for 30 days in a cookie. We do not check documents.
- Projects in this section are not shown on the home page, in the main rankings or in country rankings. Moderation there is stricter: a reported item is hidden until we decide.
- We may block this section in countries where the law requires stricter age checks.
12. Security review (only with consent)
If we offer a security review of a project's website, we do it only for the verified owner who asked for it and agreed to these terms. We check only publicly available resources and do not perform penetration tests. We never scan websites without the owner's consent.
13. Emails
We send emails only about: a new question on your project, an answer to your question, your website not responding for 24 hours, and moderation decisions about your content or account. Each email has a one-click unsubscribe. Moderation decisions are also visible in your account. No newsletters or marketing emails without your separate consent.
14. Availability and liability
- We try to keep heyImade working, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or end features. If we close the whole service, we will tell users at least 30 days before and let you take your content.
- Projects and websites listed on heyImade are made and run by their makers. We are not responsible for them, for what they sell, or for what happens on their websites. Check before you download or pay for anything.
- Numbers on heyImade (votes, visitors, statistics) are counted as described on our pages and may contain errors.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular towards consumers.
15. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time with one button in Settings. This deletes your account together with your projects, comments, questions, votes and images. It cannot be undone. Other people's replies in your threads may stay, without your name.
We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms (section 10).
16. Complaints
If heyImade does not work as described, write to kontakt@heyimade.com: your account (or email), what happened, and what you expect. We answer within 14 days. If you are a consumer, you also have the rights given to you by law (for example regarding digital services).
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the law or the service changes. We will publish the new version at least 14 days before it takes effect (15 days for business users) and tell signed-in users on the site and by email. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. Changes that are needed immediately by law or for safety may take effect sooner.
18. Law and courts
Polish law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country. Disputes are decided by the competent common court; a consumer may also bring a case before the court of their place of residence where the law allows it. Consumers can also use out-of-court help, for example a consumer ombudsman (in Poland: a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, "rzecznik konsumentów").
